I have information to contribute to the profile of Johann Wilhelm Isings. This is what I can add (or added already when creating the profile):

  • b. 14 May 1681 and baptized 18 May 1681 in Lennep, Germany (in current-day North Rhine-Westphalia)
  • Father of Johan Leopold Ising (Ising-52)
  • Married Anna Christina Neuehauss (profile TBA) 20 Nov 1702 in Lennep.
  • Son of Leopoldi Caspari Ising (profile TBA)

These are the sources I am using:

  • Ancestry.com. Germany, Lutheran Baptisms, Marriages, and Burials, 1518-1921 [database on-line]. Lehi, UT, USA: Ancestry.com Operations, Inc., 2017. Original data: Mikrofilm Sammlung. Familysearch.org. Originale: Lutherische Kirchenbücher, 1518-1921. Various sources. Film Number: 1271207; Page Number: 472
  • Germany, Births and Baptisms, 1558-1898. Salt Lake City, Utah: FamilySearch, 2013. FHL Film Number 186068
  • Germany, Marriages, 1558-1929. Salt Lake City, Utah: FamilySearch, 2013.  FHL Film Number 186068. Reference ID 2:H8BW71

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

Hi Erik,

You could either tag this question with Germany or contact the Germany project for your questions.

I don't think anyone will notice your question without a tag and I do believe that it's better to contact a project member before creating your record
