Birth: Jan. 10, 1845
Death: May 29, 1925

6 April 1855-10 May 1925 (pay no mind to the headstone...). James Jackson Parnell married Louiza Eliza Southern (at least a part Cherokee Indian). He had at least 5 kids: James Posey, Margaret, Julius Harrison, Millie, and Manuel Alfred (though some say he had two others, Jasper and Laura). He was born in NC, but lived in Pickens Co, SC, for a long time until his death. He died of Bright's Disease at the age of 70. At the age of 60 he was in a Pickens Co Chain Gang (apparently for moonshining). His son, James Posey, was said to have been a bankrobber, and his son Julius was also in a chain gang. He is rumored to have been of Irish descent, possibly with part Indian.
