Remove individual

Hello,

 

For some reason, inividuals are added multiple times to my tree when that was not my intent.  Please help me remove individuals that are redundats or just duplicates of an intended single entry.  This happens all over my tree without explanation as to why, or how I can remove them.  The Edit program is useless for this.

 

I think there must be something wrong with the basic WIKI program.

The only way to remove duplicates is to merge them. The merge tool is found at the bottom of the profile page.

David, are you ending up with duplicate copies of profiles, but with different ID numbers?  If this is happening repeatedly, could you perhaps explain how you are creating the profiles (i.e., entering the data manually, or downloading GEDCOM files from another site or another program, or whatever) and point to an example or two that we could look at to try to figure out what's happening?

David, I can't find multiple entries for anyone in your watchlist. I restored George Pierson back to the original information. The profile was changed to Unknown but had good information. Duplicates need merging. If there is another profile in question please post it here.
