My 5th Great Grandfather came over to England and lived first in Ely , then Cambridge. I want to find his Cork roots. He was born abour 1753. I have his entire life mapped out for England, but want to get further back. The family were staunch non-conformists. I know that my  Great Grand Uncle Lucas Barrett who died in 1862 in Port Royal, Jamaica had his obituary placed in the Cork Times.

Can anyone in Cork help me find Simon Barretts Family.?

My Uncle had some professional research carried out several years ago, he was told that a family member was caught for stealing sheep, unfortunately he then threw all the research away as it was not to his liking.!!
