No question....just more geneology for John Henry Barton,DOB 6-11-1883

My formal name is: Judith (Judy) Carol Barton Meisenheimer. I am the grandaughter of John Henry Barton.This geneology is new to me. My grandfather listed in the Wiki Tree info is John Henry Barton, DOB 6-11-1883 in Posey, Indiana, DOD 3-26-1966 Alton, llinois. My grandfather was the son of Alfred Barton and Lucinda Pickles. There are 2 other Judy Barton's listed on my grandfather's page here. There are no other grandaughter's of John Henry Barton named Judy, except me. My birthdate is 10-10-1939. I have one brother, John Everett Barton, DOB 10-11-1944. He is still living. My father was John (J.C.) Carlos Barton, DOB 2-7-1913 DOD 6-7-1976. He was the son of John Henry Barton and Annie Millie Evans Barton; DOB 7-17-1885, DOD 8-9-1918. Date of their marriage was 5-28-1805. Their children were John (J.C.) Carlos Barton, Gayle Thurman Barton, Alfred Barton, Lucy Barton, Mae Barton and Thelma Barton.

My mother was Virginia Lee Pulliam Barton; married to my father, John (J.C.) Carlos Barton on 1-15-1937. Birthdate of Virginia Lee Pulliam Barton was 10-11-1919. They were married in Eldorado, Illinois. Both were raised in Eldorado, Illinois.

I just wanted to validate that I am the only Judith (Judy) Carol Barton that is the grandaughter of John Henry Barton, born on 6-11-1883.

Hi Judy - I know you said no question, but your statements have me confused.  John Henry Barton's profile (Barton-681) has no Judy/Judith.  There are only two other Judy Barton profiles in WikiTree - I can't see their trees (because of the privacy level), but since your grandfather has only one profile & no children attached to it, I don't see how they could be identified as his grandchildren.

Although you didn't say whether or not you wanted to join WikiTree, if you wanted to add your parents & see if you could be added to the trusted list of your grandfather's profile so that you can edit it to include the information you have, I can confirm you as a family member so that you could do that (let me know).

Liz......sorry for confusion. I am new to geneology forums, so I may be confused. I noticed there was not much information given for my grandfather, John Henry Barton other than parents & siblings, so I was trying to bring it up-to-date. I thought this was the thing to do since I am a grandaughter of his & have so much more information to add to his Wiki Tree. That was my only intent.

 

Yes, I do want to join Wiki Tree. I intended to last evening however, I was searching for a GEDCOM on my computer but I do not find one, so I will have to download one from Wiki Tree which I am going to do today.  I do want to be added to The Trusted List & be added as a family member.

I suppose the other 2 Judy Bartons are not relevant to my grandfather, so disregard my statements about them

Cool!  Thanks for the clarification.  I've confirmed you as a member.  In regards to the gedcom - I don't work with them, so I won't be much help there.  However, you don't need to upload one to participate in WikiTree.  I've added my family one by one.
