I tried to award a family star badge and it whent to an unknown person outside of my family line. I forgot to add the name before the number. So I just think the person who'm got the badge will be confused. I would like to retract the badge if posable?  The badge whent to the profile of Thomas Benjamin Norvell. Who is not in my direct line.

My experience is that, when awarding badges, they go to the profile in question immediately. Since he doesn't have the badge. I think it's safe to assume the system didn't give it to him.

Given that the profile is for someone that died before WikiTree existed, and therefore not a member, I suspect the badge will not be assigned. I'm surprised the system did not give you an error message.

Interesting! Guess we'll need to wait and see.
