Looking for info regarding either person, George Harris or Jane Simpson.  Jane had 3 sisters living in England at the time of her death in 1928.  Jane definitely born in Staffordshire but not sure of the town, and not sure if George Harris was born there or not.  Probably a coal mining family, George came to Oakdale PA and worked in the mines.

Hi,

No sign of Jane in the 1851 census from Staffordshire with a birth date between 1842-1846.

This family is from the 1841 census:

George Harris and Jane Simpson were married in 1863 (Freebmd.org)

Surname     First name(s)          District     Vol     Page
Marriages Jun Qtr 1863
HARRIS     George          Kings Norton     6c    624
Simpson     Jane          Kings Norton.     6c    624

You can obtain a copy of the marriage cert which should give you father's names and occupations

https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/

That could also make it easier to track them in the various census returns.

There's also a birth for a Priscilla Harris in FreeBMD. Don't know if it is the correct one:

Births Mar Qtr 1865
Harris     Priscilla          Kings Norton     6c    487

Unforntunately Kings Norton Registration District contains places that are in three different counties, so searching the census for just Staffordshire might not get you an answer.  Ancestry and Findmypast parish records not complete.
