http://firstfleet.uow.edu.au/index.html A quick look produced these results: John RANDALL/REYNOLDS He was tried at Manchester, Lancashire on 14 April 1785 for stealing a steel watch chain of unknown value .He was sentenced to transportation for 7 years and left England on the Alexander aged about 22 at that time (May 1787). His occupation was listed as labourer . Notes: Joined NSW Corps in 1800. Described as “a black’ from North America, he was aged 44 years, with black complexion, black hair, hazel eyes, and 5ft 9ins tall in September 1808.Married Esther Harwood on 21 February 1788. Esther HARWOOD/HOWARD She was tried at Old Bailey, London on 30 August 1786 for stealing a silver watch and cash with a value of 33 shillings .She was sentenced to transportation for 7 years and left England on the Lady Penrhyn aged about 36 at that time (May 1787). Her occupation was listed as oyster seller or servant .She died in 1789. Notes: A witness saw her take the watch from the victim’s pocket.Married John Randall on 21 February 1788 and shared a hut with him and John Moseley (both men were black)
