Why doesn't photo show in right-hand column in public view of private profile?

This profile page was created manually. I haven't yet edited it (you'll see the default language still in the narrative), but I did add a photo. Yet the photo does not appear on the public view except in the page heading. I.e., the larger version does not appear in the right-hand column. When I checked Privacy settings, it says this:

Private with Public Biography and Family Tree
Same as Private but anyone can view the biography and family tree.

I presume it was set this way when created because she has living offspring.

But if one can see the biography and family tree, shouldn't one also be able to see any photos in the right-hand section?

Thanks.

If the setting is private for a deceased person with living children why is the uploaded 'private' photograph visible on ancestry.com? It is not the thumbnail view, it appears to be the uploaded photograph.

I don't have a subscription on ancestry.com but I saw the photograph on their site when I looked at how the information I input on this site comes up on google. I have the only copy of this image...please explain.

Thanks!

Hi Jillaine,

The only things that are different between "Private" and "Private with a Public Biography and Family Tree" are that in the latter the biography and family tree are public. Everything else is just like it is with Private.

But then why does the profile photo appear in the headline, then? Shouldn't it be excluded, based on the above?
Check out http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Privacy#Partially_private_information

"The tiny thumbnail of a photo is always unrestricted — but the full version and information about images is private."
Another question, Chris, years later: why is Nancy's husband private and not named but her son's name is visible and clickable? They're both still living.
(I was logged out when I saw it that way .)
