I am seeking info on the Weitzels from Essen, Germany

My father was Ludwig Weitzel,born1.8.1920 Essen Schonnebeck , verst. 2.8.1978 in Dahlbruch, Germany. His parents were Johann Ludwig Weitzel and Elizabeth Weitzel,geb. Van De Sandt. Siblings, Karl, Fritz and Margret Weitzel also born in Essen, Germany. I have been unable to find any more information on my family.

Weitzel was a very common name in Sauk County Wisconsin, where my ancestors from Germany settled, both in Bear Creek Township and in Franklin Township, and some in the neighboring county Richland, in Wisconsin. In Richland County, the census taker spelled their name,

Your photo looks similar to my dad's high school graduation photo, he was born in 1928 in Richland County, I would guess it is a 1940's photo.
