Dear Sir:

I love your program and it is working well for me.  However, I do have one problem that I need help with.

I an researching two families.  My adopted family, which is Gordon, and my Birth family which is Brennan.  My question is how or can I combine the two trees to make it easier for me to get the information out to every person in my two families.

Thanking you in advance,

I remain,

Sincerly

Ronald L (Brennan) Gordon Sr

Hello, are you by chance Related to Eileen Brennan. My father was one of her Birth sons, Michael Sauer. And he had a birth sister named Arlys Reynolds who found a bunch of her sibilings including him about 15 years ago or so. I know he had a brother named Ron, so that is why I ask. I am interested in tracking down my dad's birth siblings to keep in touch. Hope to hear back from you.

Hi Ronald,

WikiTree works really well for this, because of the "free space" in which you can write your biography, and the ease of linking to the profiles of other people.

What a lot of people dealing with adoptions in their tree do is address one pair of parents in their "Father" and "Mother" section. Then they use the "New Profile" option (found in the upper right corner of the site) to create profiles for the other set of parents. Then they use the biography of the adoptee to link to the second set of parents, saying something like "Adoptee Smith was born to Tom Father and Jane Mother before being adopted to the Smiths" or "Adoptee Smith was adopted by John Smith and Sally Brown Smith when he was 4 days old." This way, it is possible to see all of the parents involved.

The WikiTree help page for Multiple Parents explains how to do this: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Multiple_Parents

If you need any more help, feel free to message me.
