Thanks for the replies Gil, unfortunately that is the problem. The image is used all over Ancestry for James Lowery Allison as well as other geneology websites, including Find-A-Grave. So far, all replies to my inquiries have been that they got if from another Ancestry family tree. Tried a reverse image search myself a couple of years ago but had no luck; wasn't sure if I was using it correctly though, so it's good to know that others have similar results.
Asking about it here was a shot in the dark, but had to try. I will probably put the image on the Allison profile with some text about it's lack of provenance in the biography.
