Janet (Mrs. Beattie) Knox, birth location and parents names.

+5 votes
Janet Knox, Mrs. Beattie, was born in Ireland about 1726. The location has been shown as Emyvale, Monaghan Co., Ireland and possibly Dublin.

She married Walter Bell II at Emyvale, Monaghan, Ireland. The couple had at least seven children and moved with their five youngest offspring to North Carolina about 1768.

Janet (Knox) Beattie is said to be of the same family as John Knox, the celebrated Scottish reformer.

I would like to trace back at least one generation or possibly more of her Knox line.

Any insight would certainly be appreciated.
