need help with MARK STATEN DOB 1604 LEICESTERSHIRE ENGLAND PARENTS?

Question

I have Mark's father as Adam (WikiTree ID: De Staunton-6);  however, I also believe that to be incorrect.

He married Elizabeth Kirby Born 1610  DOD=? (WikiTree ID: Kirby-369)

Mark was Father of Samuel Staton, John Staton, Thomas Staton, Susanna Staton, Simeon Staton, Mary Staton, Marke Staton, Sarah Staton, Rachel Staton and Elizabeth Staton

When my source originally gave me this info (Adam) there were more years than possible between the birth of Adam and the birth of Mark.  I don't remember how many years it was exactly, it was something like 50 or 60 years.   Too many to be reasonable, plus I could not verify it.  My source supposedly got the info from church records in England.

I have a Thomas Stauton listed as his father and Katherine Washington as his mother with the spelling of Staton. I also have his birth year at 1607 in Leichister, England.
