according to a search that I ran across my great grandparents were William Asbury Denby and Mary Etta Spears, but unable to locate their son William Eldon Denby, my grand father, he is not listed as one of their children...

From the limited information you gave, this looks like it could be him.

What is the evidence from this search for William and Mary Etta as William's parents? That would be helpful to know so that WikiTree-ers don't repeat information you may already have!

Here is a WWII draft card for a William Eldon Denby:

Is the W.E.D. you are looking for from Texas?

This is a family with a William A. and Mary E. Denby as parents:

1900 census: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/MSRS-L1R

and 1920 census: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/MHTX-D16

Elliot is about the same age as William, and since it is fairly common for sons named after their fathers to use their middle name to differentiate between them, Elliot could be a misenumeration of Eldon.

It also looks like W.E. was married to Esther Oliver before Pauline Reeves: http://www.marshallandmarshallfd.com/sitemaker/sites/MARSHA2/obit.cgi?user=1378_MSlough1408, https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/V831-4PC

Here they are in the 1930 census: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/HGL6-1N2

Maybe you can contact the courthouse in Angelina and get a copy of their marriage certificate, which could list his parents.

Another tidbit is W.A.'s death certificate, the informant is a William Denby, maybe W.E? https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/JD58-9TL

Hopefully you can piece everything together to get a firm answer!

yes he lived in Texas, my mother started a search on ancestry.com, I found where she had posted a question that she was looking for her grandparents William Asbury Denby and Mary Etta Spears, but all the information I found on these two did not list William Eldon as a son
