Death of Mr. W. P. Briggs.—The death of Mr. W. P. Briggs was announced yesterday. The deceased, who was in his 23rd year, was the eldest son of Mr. William Peter Briggs, a very old resident of Balmain, and was well known and highly esteemed. The funeral left his late residence, 2 Robert-street, Balmain South, yesterday afternoon for the Necropolis, and was largely attended. A large number of floral tributes were received from friends.
