My ancestor Fort Henry Bate was the first baby born at Fort Henry in Kingston, Ontario. His father Nathaniel was the adjutant of the Fort, he served in the 66th. Regiment of Foot. After his discharge he helped to organize the Frontenac Militia to protect Kingston during the Canadian Rebellion. I know that Nathaniel filed for a land grant from the Crown in 1837. I also know that after his service he was an Innkeeper in the Stuartsville section of Kingston. I really have no info on "Fort Henry Bate" after his birth. I would like to find out a little of his life from that point on.

Thanks for your response Frank. I have been in touch with the Museum at Fort Henry and the Curator. I have received a lot of valuable info from him, but we still have very little info on "Fort Henry Bate". We have more info on his Father who was the Adjutant of the Fort.
