Prove my missing link to get into SAR

I am trying to get into the SAR.  I have proven that Barnes-1169 is eligible.  Last week I submitted the online form to make him a veteran.  The next big task is to PROVE with original sources that I am a direct descendant.  I have done that with one exception.  I cannot prove that Barnes-7630 is the son of Barnes-1230.  I leapfrogged 1230 and by a will can prove that he is the son of 1169.  Can and is anyone willing to help with my missing link.  I have inquired but have not received a reply.  I do not think they accept DNA as proof.

Keith, Did you get this done yet?

I just finished doing an application for my son and am going to use the same one for a memorial membership for my father.

Do you have the most recent Blank National Application form? If you don't I can email you one. I will start putting your information on one.

The SAR person who helped me was most gracious and was fabulous in helping to get documents for me as well. He even retrieved copies that I already had. So getting help directly from them is definitely an option.

Let me know at what point you are at now, please.

Ruth,

Thanks for the help.  I ended up getting into the SAR on a previously recognized Patriot on my maternal line. I am currently jumping a few hoops to get Barnes-1169 recognized as a new Patriot in both the SAR and DAR.
