looking for a G.W.Hickman,I'm in Phila Pa and have his shotgun from about 1850

Hi Thomas,

You can try searching for the surname, by using Find on the upper right and selecting Surname (there are 1700+ Hickman profiles here), you can then sort that list by first name or by date.

Another way to search is to use Find and select PeopleSearch.  Then you can type in the whole name.  I tried it, but there was no GW.

 I did notice a George Washington Hickman on the surname list, so using that method and looking at the profiles may help you find your man.

Where is the house?  There is a George W. Hickman in the 1850 census.  He is in Southwark.

more information

this George W. died in 1873.  He lived on South 8th St.
