Help with Brownlee-687 and Brownlee-47 [closed]

Question

Looking for sources to prove the correct set of parents so that this merge can move forward....or so we can divide up the wives and children so that they do not look like duplicates.

The two james's not only have differing parents, they have differing siblings. I propose they are two differing individuals with  one adopted birth date and spouse. Brownlee-687 has two wives, same name married 60 years apart. More research is needed, but they should be rejected.

Many of the children are different, too.

Wonderful...in the meantime, I am looking for sources and found that the two fathers in question were brothers and came over from Ireland together on the Brig Robert Montgomery with their respective families.  It is no wonder they are confused.   I believe we will find this is the same person, just attached to incorrect parents.

Actually Robin with that information I believe that you are wrong more firmly that before.  Brothers using the same name for their children is not that uncommon, I actually have two nieces with the same name one from my brother Deryl and the other from my brother Dean.

If you look at the biography of Brownlee-47 you can see it has been merged and that is probably where the problems started. I have seen all too many times on here people think that with the same name and a close birth date they must be the same person when the fact is a lot of the time they are not even related.
