Early 1900's meaning when he was born? What country, county and or city was he born in? Would you have a marriage year and location and or a death year and location?

Hi ..  Are you certain of the order of the name?  I'm finding Merrell Owen Franklin, and an Owen Franklin on Ancestry.com, married in Alabama to a Della Beard in 1890.    Do you have any other information that might be helpful?  Of course, spellings can throw us for a loop too ... Merrell/Merrill, Franklin/Frankin/Franken ....  I'm researching MacDonald and have found McDonnell, McDonald.   I thought I was also researching Morris (married MacDonald).  One day I stumbled on Marris, after years of wondering why I could not hook up Morris!   :-)
