How Do you know if DNA testing has been done on Fritz family?

It occurred to me that someone in my direct line may have already done DNA resting.  So I wouldn't want to repeat the same test correct?

My direct line would be

My father Ferdinand Earl Fritz, Ronald Chesterman Fritz, Jesse Perry Fritz Jr,  Jesse Perry Fritz SR, and so forth.

Thank you

I can't answer your question, but because I have a Fritz family in my ancestry, I looked at your family tree (I saw no likelihood of a relation there) and I found an error that you should look into:

The profile for Ronald Chesterman Fritz says he was born July 4, 1899 and is "son of [private father (1920's - unknown)]." It looks like some generations got scrambled by mistake, since vanishingly few people born in 1899 had parents born in the 1920s.

Ellen,

It might seem strange, but my fathers mother Nina S. Fritz who I knew incredibly well and loved was born in 1900.  All of these dates are sources as accurate.  Someone in Ronald Fritz's family sent me an envelope years ago with the few photos and funeral card, which was the first time my siblings and I saw our grandfather.  I only wish I knew who had sent the envelope.

Thank you so much for your interest in our part of the Fritz family.

I don't doubt that you remember your grandmother fondly and that she was born in 1900. It's the record for her father-in-law (your great-grandfather Fritz) that bothers me. The date on your family tree indicates he was born in the 1920s, but his son Ronald was born in 1899.  Those dates are impossible!

Did your great grandfather die in the 1920s? Maybe the date was entered in the wrong field.

Oh so sorry your talking about my great-grandfather Ferdinand Earl Nickerson!

I will look into right now

Hi Taylor,  Here is the Fritz DNA Project by the paternal lines: http://www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/fritz/pats

Hmm.. It doesn't look like those lines are at all likely to include Taylor's Fritz relations -- nor mine.
Kitty,

Thanks for the fascinating information on the Fritz DNA Project.  I am going to save that site.

Thanks again
