John Baillie b 1588 Glasgow, Thomas Baillie b 1610 Glasgow, Hugh Baillie b 1643 Dumphrieshire, William Baillie b 1673 Kilwinning, Hugh 1693 Kilwinning and Alexander b 1700 Kilwinning is the line of Baillies I am researching. Can you please tell me which Baillie family they descended from?
I know that Alexander 1700s wife, Janet Allan id descended from the Cunninghams, Dunlops, Borthwicks, Bruces etc but I can't find this Baillie line past John 1588.
Any suggestions would be gratefully welcomed.
