'' italics''

'''bold'''

2 each apostrophes  by enter key
I guess what I need is how to cancel it. <i>  or "italics" turns it on, what turns it off...
No " but '', Maybe that's it.  Nope, I'm still lost.
Not sure were you are when trying this:
If <i> turns on, use / ie </i>
Was just told if <i> turns on a second time turns off <i>
I did that for half an hour before I realized it wasn't working. Now once I find the answer, I've gotta go back and fix all of them. ''/italic'' and ''italic/'' don't work. (those ''bold''are''bold/'' apostrophes)
The second <i> doesnt' work. Neither does ''italic''!
Which program are you referring to or in which screen of Wikitree?
Sorry may be misunderstanding question. Windows? Apple? Ipad?
I'm using Windows 7, entering source data after entering profiles, wish to italicize source titles. see Holcomb-333 for example
Ok got you.

In the edit biography screen:
select text, hold down mouse key, left to select
after selected highlighted
should see above edit box/field
B I Ab  etc.
The "I" does the job.

It can also be accomplished by use of apostrophe key (single quote key)       '        by the enter key, you need 2 each close together before and after the selected text.
If you still have problems let me know will edit Holcomb-333 for you and show example. I do not want to do that while you might be editing at the same time.
Thanks, Michael, that worked.  Whew.
Worse yet is thinking you closed the end and missed or added one extra '
Hard to find. Have a wonderful day. mike
