Does anyone know about the family of David Newton Hicks in Arrington, Kentucky?

I would like know what prompted D. N. Hicks (David Newton Hicks) to move from Arrington, KY to Junction City, KS; also, did he move by himself, or was he in a party of people or family who moved to Kansas?  I know nothing about him before he came to Junction City.

I would like to know as much as possible about the family of David Newton Hicks of Arrington, KY before he moved to Kansas around 1870.

Dear Amy,

There is a HICKS family in the 1870 census of Kentucky District No. 6 that includes a David, age 24. The household includes John & Elizabeth, probable parents, ages 58 & 43, respectively.  Also listed, probably siblings of David:   Susan F, age 22;  Abraham, 20;  Sarah A., 11;  Mollie, 9;  John, 8; Carrie, 6;  Udora, 4;  Harvy, 2;  Broron, 9/12. Also listed - Martha age 83 who could be a grandmother.

If any of these people show up with your David in Kansas it would strengthen the potential link.

Hope this helps!
