I don't have any ID for Preston. His full name was Preston Carlyle McNurlen b. 1861 in Richland, Buena Vista, Wisconsin, USA. He Died 1930 Rhinelander, Wisconsin, USA. Ne married Harriet (Hattie) May McIntyre (1865-1905) on 4 June 1882 in Richland, Buena Vista, Wisconsin, USA. His father was William McNurlen (1814-1889) and his mother was Willomina Trumbo (1820-1887). His paternal grandparents were William McNarlan (1776-1840) and Eleanor (1782-1864), both were born in Scotland and settled in Pennsylvania. There are several spellings for the last name, i.e. McNarland, McNarlan, McNurlen, McNurlin) My father's name is spelled McNurlin and we decend from James McNurlin, born 25 March 1805 in Scotland. I have no records that precede William or Wilhelm and Eleanor. They had 11 children. Preston is the youngest of 11 children. My grandfather and his wife Rachel had 12 children. William and Eleanor had at least 66 grandchildren - I haven't been able to find marriages or children for three of the their children. I have 7 children listed for Preston and Harriet - Carlyle Richard, Edith Cecile, Caroline G., Myron Cleveland, William Cleveland, Wilhemina, and Cecil. I have connected William and Eleanor's daughters or granddaughters into the ancestory lines of Meriwether Lewis, the Gettys, Miles Standish, Daniel Boone and Abraham Lincoln; granted some of the branches are way out there. I am tracing the lines as far as I can take them until I dead end at a person I can't find additional information for.
