I have been involved in several WikiTree Projects and been impressed by each in different ways. The members and the Leaders who coordinate them are outstanding... especially in the Mentors, Rangers, and Ambassadors Projects each of which I have been blessed to be a small part of.
The War of 1812 Project is the first one involving profiles that I have had a chance to witness from the birth of the idea to maturity. I personally was only remotely involved and contributed little more than an image, but the other members of the project made me feel included and appreciated anyway.
After seeing these members operate I am more confident than ever in the continued success of WikiTree. They moved mountains in weeks. They communicated constantly, they made decisions and went with them, they made an effort to accommodate everyone who might have an interest, and they worked like CRAZY! Every member of that group deserves a big pat on the back, a huge thanks, and a beverage of their choice.
The result of their selfless labor is a very professional and surprisingly complete Project that we can all be proud of. The work they did adds to our credibility while honoring many veterans who deserve to be remembered for their service.
It is inspiring to know that this is the type of activity going on here.
To Leader Terri Rick and equally to each of the other members in the War of 1812 Project....
Thank You! pat on the back and beverage redeemable in Vermont :)
