What goes into a WikiTree Project?

I have been involved in several WikiTree Projects and been impressed by each in different ways.  The members and the Leaders who coordinate them are outstanding... especially in the Mentors, Rangers, and Ambassadors Projects each of which I have been blessed to be a small part of.

The War of 1812 Project is the first one involving profiles that I have had a chance to witness from the birth of the idea to maturity.  I personally was only remotely involved and contributed little more than an image, but the other members of the project made me feel included and appreciated anyway.

After seeing these members operate I am more confident than ever in the continued success of WikiTree.  They moved mountains in weeks.  They communicated constantly, they made decisions and went with them, they made an effort to accommodate everyone who might have an interest, and they worked like CRAZY!  Every member of that group deserves a big pat on the back, a huge thanks, and a beverage of their choice.

The result of their selfless labor is a very professional and surprisingly complete Project that we can all be proud of.  The work they did adds to our credibility while honoring many veterans who deserve to be remembered for their service.

It is inspiring to know that this is the type of activity going on here.

To Leader Terri Rick and equally to each of the other members in the War of 1812 Project....

Thank You!   pat on the back and beverage redeemable in Vermont :)

As one whose suggestion was taken into account and quickly acted upon, I heartily agree! Both you and the project members deserve a big thank you and a beverage redeemable in Upper Canada (Ontario) :)
Thank you Keith you are so right each and every member is wonderful. We have the best leader in Terri, and you down play your part in this project too much, you made the template plus the wonderful images for the template. The really great thing about this project is everyone is so easy to work with, it makes for a really great project to be part of.

Can you and Laurie send the beverage to Brisbane, Australia Keith :)
Very nice Keith,

One of your images now appears as the primary photo (branding) on at least 40 free spaces dedicated to those whom served.
Thank you for great posts like this, Keith.
Wow Keith!  What a nice post and pat on the back for Terri and the 1812 Volunteers!  Thanks for the post!  Mags
I know next to nothing about this war so i will check out this project with great interest!

Thank you Keith.  Our team is small bit dynamic! Each member is a very valued individual. The contributions of this team is simply amazing.

Wow. What a great project and so well organized. Great work and great model for other projects.
Thank you Keith for your great complement.  You helped us a great amount.  Thank you also to Laurie Cruthers and also to your comments, Jillaine.  There are not very many people working on this project, but we work well together and have a great leader, Terri Rick.

I am hoping other fellow Wiki Treers will read it, and understand more of what that War was about.  Perhaps others would like to join the project and find their ancestors that may have fought in that war.
