sophia joslin, wife of Daniel left England 1883-1884 for canada, what ship

Question

We know Sophia Joslin applied for a passport in 1883 after her husband and sons sailed for NZ.  We know she died a pauper in Ottawa Canada 1916.  We are trying to fill the gap in the above years.  what did she do in Canada, what ship did she leave England on.   Do you know of any photos of her  Was one necessary for a passport in 1883.    The cemetary where she is  buried cannot add to the information I have i.e. dates and cause of death..

Thank you for the reply.  It is not the Sophia Joslin I was looking for.   Her husband was Daniel and she applied for her passport in 1883, she was 34 at the time.    Daniel had left her and travelled to NZ with their sons.  We are trying to find what happened to her.  She died in Ottawa in 1916 and is buried in Beechwood Cemetary.  We thought the British passport system may be able to track her application and when it was successful and hopefully a photo on it.  Help please if you can,  We are very gratefu
