I started Wikitree with myself, then my father, his father & when I tried adding my grandmother (many times) nothing.  She just won't compute on the tree.  What's am I doing wrong.  I do use a Mac - any problems with Mac interfacing with your program?

Thanks for your help!

Hi Patricia,

I'm not sure what happened here. Let's see if we can figure out what went wrong.

I just added a blank page for her: http://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Unknown-154783&action=edit

Are you now able to edit that page?

If you run into this problem of adding a person again: Are you seeing any error messages? They would be at the top of page. If not, when you say "won't compute", does that mean your web browser hangs, or the page won't load, or what? The more details the better.

I don't know of any Mac-specific problems. You're using Safari?

Let me know if you run into more problems.

Cheers,

Chris

Patricia:

The Mac is not the problem - unless there is an overriding situation with your operating system that interferes with internet use in general - but the browser and version could have something to do with it.

More likely it may be a temporary 'glitch' in the 'net or the connection (ISP server, etc) and will be fine another time.

Alternately, try loading her data from your "Family Tree" page (get there by clicking the tab so labelled on your Profile page) and then clicking the link to the blank where she should appear.

I hope this works..
