By adding father, mother, siblings, spouses & children either from the prompt on the public profile view of a person, or using the "edit" button on the profiles task bar that will reveal all the said relationships. By saving the entry, the newly created profile is automatically assigned a unique ID using the LNAB.

Should you wish to enter ancestors from a distant relative, you can find that persons's profile from the main task -- Find/People:search.
