I am looking for ay information about my great-great-great grandfather JAMES JACKSON DOAN. He was born about 1822 and died about 1864. He owned a hotel called the Farmer's Hotel in Ailsa Craig, Ontario Canada. He was married 2. One to CATHERINE COUSE, the second to MARGARET AUSTIN.  I would appreciate any information about this family. His son WILLIAM RICHARD DOAN (1849-1929) is my great-great grandfather.

A bit more information would be helpful. Do you know which of James Jackson Doan's wives was the mother of William Richard Doan? Do you have any more information on locations?

I found what appears to be a marriage record for one of William's brothers (Joseph, born around 1860 in Canada), in Michigan. Does that sound right?

Hi.  Just starting with Wiki.  I have the Doan tree, associated with my tree, pretty well laid out back to John Doan of Plymouth.  I checked for William and Richard, but was not successful.  If you have any more info, I'll check my records.
