My name contains a number and cannot create profile.

My name is Angel (6) de la Cruz.  The number is part of my official name.  My family members also have numbers.  This is a most important part of my genealogy.  Spelling out the number is not a valid or proper option.  How can I get around this?  Otherwise, I cannot register.

Hi Angel,

The first suggestion that comes to mind is to put Angel as your first name and Angel (6) as your Preferred first name. I think that would work.

I was curious, and tried this out, the only field (box) that (6) will go into and be accepted is the other nicknames field.

I think WikiTree needs to accept all characters in the proper first name and LNAB fields in order to accomodate all names that meet the style guide's criteria for those fields.

I do not think it is right for something other than the proper first name to have to be entered because of field limitations.

Would you consider adding this to the "to-do" list?
I agree with Gaile.
And I agree with Gaile. In keeping with the spirit of Wikitree's global family, we need to be receptive to all of the world's characters. (Play on words intended.)

"To do list" when you get a chance, Eowyn. Only when you get a chance.
