Sarah Ann and husband James Gilbert Wood were sent to Canada by parents (Grandmother Jane Horton, surname Amos). including James Morris,  Wilfred, John, Winnifred, Alice and Mabel (Mabel was my Grandmother and she was born July 16th,1906 iin Tonge Cottage, Kent), brother  Wilfred born in Braeborn North Kent. Father James Gibert Wood was known to be a horse trader and trainer, emigrated alone just prior to the rest of the family. Sarah Ann Wood (nee Horton) & husband were  cut off from family. Horton Grandparents family refused contact when grandson Wilfred visited during the war.

Hello Ron, I just wanted to add that my Mom said that she has a record of Sarah Ann's parents being noted in the family bible as John Horton and Jane Horton (Amos). The Amos name does not always seem to show up as Sarah's Mom's maiden name in other searches..  Just thought it may be interesting for you to know that your information matches ours.  thank you
