I do not know a "Drury, son of Drury" who could have married Frances Amos. So, it should not be a father/son thing.
Basically, the choice of which Drury Scruggs md Frances Amos comes down one of two men. One of them was the groom; the other stood security.
I do not have basis for determining which is the groom.
Unless this is against the run of play, which is never impossible.
