I am trying to send a Wikitree invitation but am told the email address -- which is valid -- doesn't "look valid."

Question

How can I over-ride this message? "Sorry, the e-mail address does not look valid."

The email address is for aol.com and has the word "pepsi" in it as "<JaneDoeapepsi ...> "

This is  the right email address, however.

Try entering it in all-lowercase. Just a guess!

It looks like an address used by someone who wishes to remain anonymous.

Are you including the angle brackets (< and >) when you enter the email address? Because that would definitely do it.

Hi Patricia,

In Lianne's comment, she meant to say that including the brackets would make it invalid. Did you try entering without brackets?
