There are no Wingates on the Dawes Commission Rolls. Those rolls are for the 5 Civilized Tribes (Cherokee, Creek, Choctaw, Chickasaw, Seminole) and were enrolled from 1898 to 1906. This is how these 5 tribes determine their membership here in Oklahoma. Not to say that there could not be Eastern Band Cherokees by that name, but there are none on the rolls pertaining to the Western or Oklahoma band. More names, dates and locations would be needed to go much further.
