Merge takes longer than 30 days from date initiated

Question

I have been waiting now for longer than 30 days to complete two merges since the date it was initiated. The other manager does not respond, I did send an additional message and still no response. That is not my problem. The merge should have default approval after thirty days.

Why does this not happen?

According to the dates of the merge requests showing on these profiles, it has been less than 30 days.  

Were they reset for some reason?

Here is the merge proposals. How could they be reset?

Unfortunately, when a trusted list member approves a proposed merge, but no one from the other trusted list has approved it yet, the approval action usually resets the clock on the merge proposal.

I don't believe this is supposed to be part of the design of the system, but it's how things seem to work.

Hi Louis,

No, not a tech.

I was just posting so you can see the dates in reference to the comment provided by Ellen.  The system will now respond in 30 days from those new dates if no more interruptions happen.

In hopes of sparking a resolution, I also posted a public message on the profile of the other Profile Manager asking her to review these Merges as she was last active in July.  She appears to be related to Philip van der Walt, the gentleman who proposed the Merge and who is a well-known project contributor on Wikitree.

I also added some tags to help flag the frustrations we all feel when we discover that a merge has been pushed out due to the technical setup that currently exists.

I hope you get a resolution soon.
