Pennypacker/Pannebecker seach revealed this marriage (pennypacker.net). I have searched Chester County PA and surrounding area finding 2 Samuel Bond's but no way to prove either to a son Matthias. Matthias was born abt 1812 in PA, became a farmer in Harpers Ferry (VA) WV. He was named after his Uncle Matthias Pennypacker. I have found reference to Samuel being a farmer in Pikeland. Samuel & Hanna had the following children: Barbara, Rebecca, Harmen, John, Matthias, James, and Marie. The 1860 Chester PA census list Samuel, 90, living with his daughter Rebecca and her husband Samuel Law, East Goshen Township.

Any help documenting the correct Samuel to Matthias would be appreciated. I would also like to track Samuel back as far as possible.

Thanks in advance for any assistence, hints, and/or help

Have you tried Google Books yet? It's a treasure trove for searching obscure and out of print books, as well as genealogical publications and journals.

A search for Matthias Pennypacker turns up lots of sources, perhaps something useful will turn up?

You could also search for land records or wills for Samuel Pennypacker and Samuel Law. It wouldn't be uncommon for a brother-in-law to vouch for someone on a land deed or to be mentioned in a will.

Good luck!

Try the Chester County archives http://www.chesco.org/index.aspx?NID=193

They have tax indexes, probate indexes (and a lot of other indexes).  If you find something that you want a copy of, their fees are reasonable.
