He died in Jackson County, TN on July 12, 1842, at age 83 years, 11 months and 20 days. He married Rebecca Smith Feb. 17, 1785. Rebecca died 9/8/1836 at age 70. He entered the Revolutionary War in Spotslvania County, VA in 1777.
