Wikitree thanks and Profile pride

Question

Not a question, but rather just a thank you to the wikitree team for the wonderful application. Wikitree serves two distinct purposes for me, the first being a exceptional genealogical platform, and secondly the ability to build extensive profiles on individuals which we will leave to future generations with the evidence thereof digitised and preserved (functioning to some extent as a digital content management system). I find it incredible to think that my descendants will know as much about our ancestors without loss of information, as I could gather. Same here Philip and it's a magnificent monument in honor of your grandfather , great you have all these really personal 'sources', your descendants are really fortunate , when they discover a real family treasure here , they will be sooo proud you were the one creating this ;) 

Oops Wynand , so sorry , guess it's because of the name of your grandfather , you're Philips younger brother who introduced Philip and got him started here if I remember correct eeh , well your descendants will be proud of both of you eeh , must be great to share this love for genealogy with your brother ! (and maybe even more relatives ?)

Before my interest in genealogy I innately knew my actions influenced future generations. Conversely, I never gave much thought regarding fore-bearers preceding my grandparents.

As we work collaboratively on the WikiTree documenting the lives of the departed, we become humbled by the hardships so many of them endured and overcame so that we might be blessed by better circumstances and outcomes. I, for one, appreciated what you have discovered about your grandfather, and the reverential manner you have laid out the documents for this man you have only recently become acquainted with.

Because of contributions such as yours, and the free access provided by the WikiTree, the present and future generations shall be without excuse if they fail to comprehend and accept history from multiple viewpoints.

I unfortunately inherited my hair from my mom's side of the family :)

I think his police uniform is really "spiffy." Do young people know what that word means? It means fine and smart. Thank you for sharing.
