Family ancestry of George Newsome

Question

I am looking for any info. on a George Newsome who was married at one time to an Alice Tillery, and lived in Ala. or Columbus, Ga. at one time. I don't have a middle initial on him. If you have an obit. or gravesite on him it would be very helpful. Any info. would be appreciated. Thanks again, Jay

I have an obit. for Alice Newsome. She died in Austin, Texas in 1984. Her middle name was Lavenia. She was born in 1894. She had 2 daughters, Gladys (Newsome) Reese, my grandmother, Buried in Park Hill Cemetery, Columbus Ga . in 1975, and Hettie Pearl Helton, buried in Ft. Sam Houston Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas in 1987

There are several possibilities for a George and Alice Newsome in AL and GA.  It would be easier for someone to help if you included any of the following that you might know of:

Dates or approximate dates of b, m, d?  Could be 1750 or 1940!!!

Names of any children?

Names of Alices' parents or her  siblings?

Any of these details might help locate the correct couple and timeframe.

I found Alice living with her parents, children and sister Fannie in 1930 census in GA.  She is already divorced by then.  Didn't find any 1920 census with Alice/Hettie/Gladys - or their birth records. Sorry.

There is a WWI draft registration for George Newsome married with 2 children in Gibson, GA - but spouses name is not given.

His Birthdate 1876 and was the recorded residence is Monroe,West Virgina
