Marns-1 private profiles messing with connections

Question

There is a profile Marns-1 which is linked into my tree via a brother of one of my ancestors. In connection checkers it always goes through this profile which has a lot of private profiles linked to it, so I can't see the connections to check if they are valid. Can I do anything about this please? I believe it was imported through Ancestry.

This profile has no profile manager. You could adopt it, and then perhaps see the connections (this may require adopting other profiles). After that, if you do not have interest in those profiles you could orphan them.

When you next use the Connection Checker, and it goes through this profile, look at it and you will see an 'x' in the top right hand corner.  Click that, and the Checker will go another way.  You have to do it each time, though.

I did an experiment:

• I adopted the profile, as a result I could see her descendants
• I removed myself as PM and removed myself from the trusted list, the profile reverted to the way it was, ie, I could not see her descendants.
