Hi, I am trying to connect three Winn men, Columbus Martin born abt. 1845-46, Corbin A.,born  abt 1844-45, .and Lewis E. Winn, born abt. 1843-44. These three young men all enlisted into the Confederate Army ar Fletchers Chapel, and served in the same unit, beginning with the 2nd. Lunenburg Heavy Artillery, which later was to become the 9th, 28th, and ultimately the 59th. Virginia Infantry.

Columbus Martin Winn survived the war, but Corbin got sick and died January 24, 1862 at Pig Pointalong the Namesond River where it meets the James at the Confederate fortifications there. Lewis died later in September of 1862.

I am assuming they are cousins, but I have not confirmed this.Columbus Martin Winn's father was Patrick Henery Winn, Corbin A. Winn's father was James A. Winn, and Lewis E. Winn's father was Asa Barnes Winn.

SO, DOES ANYONE KNOW THYE CONNECTION TO THESE THREE MEN AND THIER FAMILIES.

Columbus Martin Winn is my Great Grandfather

Thank you

Jerry Dunford
