Hi Wikitreers,

It is a wonderful achievement and a lot of collaboration but we are now on the brink and cusp of connecting the entire Company F of the Glorious 106th New York Infantry Regiment!

This may very well be the first of all the Companies of this regiment to be finally connected!

Let’s now begin to get the last few connected laugh

Thank you Wikitreers!

The following is quoted from Col. Fox's account of the regiment: "Companies D and F were captured, April 29, 1863, at Fairmount, W. Va., where they defended a railroad bridge for several hours against a large force of Confederates.”

I’d like to add numerical value to each soldier like #1 #2 so we can get a head count on the free space page but I’m not able to…anyone know how to add this field?
What an amazing project. I had no idea you had been working on this. Congratulations!

I don't know of a way to automatically add numbers to the list of soldiers. However, you could add a new column of boxes to the table and then enter the numbers manually. If you need help doing that, let me know.

Hi David,

Thank you. I’m not sure how to do this and your help is appreciated laugh

The numbers have been added. If I counted correctly, you have 128 soldiers in this company.

Thank you so much! I didn’t know the exact number and this is very helpful; much better organized! yes

I like the arrows up and down option can see who isn’t connected etc

I try to keep it alphabetically in order by last name

Way to go Andrew!!
I was going to make the same suggestion as David Randall. It can be done.

It’s a great way to keep count as there is many who served in each company yes

As of Jan. 16, there about 47 profiles not listed as connected
on the company roster on the free space page.
Thank you Beulah! Awesome job on getting them sourced and connected. Lots of interesting stories along the way. This might be the first company to get fully connected

I added parents to Alexander Hodge (Hodge-6788), as well as census records for 1850-1900 (excluding 1890).
