Advice for categorization of Buckelew-179?

I would like advice or may need help creating a new category for the profile of Runyon Buckelew. The category might be named something like Captain Nixon's Troop, Light-Horse Middlesex New Jersey Revolutionary War

Could I get help creating the new category? Or is there an existing category to use? Thank you!

According to various records, Robert Nixon was elected to be the Captain of the Light-Horse Troop Militia or Nixon's Company of Horse, BEFORE he was elevated to the first major of the Third Middlesex Regiment. The troop was reported to be 57 soldiers from Middlesex County, All soldiers are listed and recorded. I need a category that will tag these Revolutionary Soldiers, perhaps under the heading of New Jersey State Militia.

Thanks!

fantastic detail, this is not my area of expertise. So it looks like Nixon's Horse was a sub-part of the 3rd Regiment, is that correct? or was the Regiment infantry only and Nixon's Horse-Troop an auxillary unit? my googling is failing me...

If so I think I will create it as Category:Nixon's Troop of Light Horse, Middlesex County Militia, New Jersey Militia, American Revolution and add it to Nixon-5351 and Buckelew-179, and then you can copy and use it from there (by tomorrow it should show up in the category picker, but I never know when that update runs).

That looks like it will work fine. If I manage to add all 57, LOL, It will tie them to one military unit.

Thanks!
Category added, you should be able to steal it from either of those two.
