I wanted to share this family photo of Laverne O'Leary with the community. Location: Ferndale California. Date: About 1910. LaVerne's family can be traced back to the 1600's in Virginia. However,  they are best known for their pioneer history in the California Central Valley,  in and around Fresno. She married Arthur O'Leary,  whose family settled on the north coast of California in the 1870's. LaVerne was my wife's grandmother.

Absolutely beautiful and marvelously composed. Ferndale still exists as a charming little town on the California coast. It never will grow old. Nor will this photograph.
