Carnes Charnes of Kentucky

Question

I have been working on my family paternal line and I am at a road block with Josiah Asbury Charnes from Kentucky. My cousins are unable to assist since they too are stuck. Trying to find his parents .

According to the many varied Rootsweb entries, his wife was Susannah and either Carroll or Carrell as maiden name. There's enough consistency there to be very likely to be true. I didn't see any parents, though.

And a couple of Pedigree entries appear to indicate that his parents could be Josiah Carnes and Patience Marsh

Source for the parents appears to be an ancestry tree... I don't have a subscription, so I'm stuck at this point. Maybe someone else can look further.
