I would give them the access they want (never to your personal profile though). But vigilantly check your Family Activity Feed and you can see if they have done any editing to these profiles. If that is the case, you can verify the editing. If they are bad edits, ie; wrong or unverified information, links to family trees, aren't in-line with the Wikitree style guide, etc., you can set the profile back to where it was by using the changes log. Then remove them from the trusted list.
