Fantastic addition!  Thanks for sharing this, Bill
I'm just the messenger on this one. Credit to Jill Lee the profile manager of McCarty-1978. Now we need to merge it to McCarty-931 which is PPP.

This photo hit the NYTimes  (and other media) last week. Its been authenticated and really is Billy The Kid.  Billy apparently did really play croquet. But never with my sweet mother who would have whipped his britches. (Sweet in all other matters, she played croquet to win.)

Thanks Bill!

Hi Dorothy, While this photo doesn't meet the requirements to be nominated for Family Photo of the Week, at least as I understand the rules, I thought that the community that is unaware of who Billy the Kid was would enjoy seeing it and perhaps check out his profile. Croquet! Who would have thought that, I bet he was a sore loser.
I hope you didn't think I was chiding you, Bill. I totally love that photo and its nice to know that our "bad guys" were only a degree or two different than us! Wonder if Bonnie and Clyde played croquet? Or Wyatt Earp?

Wyatt (Mr. Bad Boy Earp) is buried in San Francisco's Colma cemetery, put there by his last wife who (perhaps) thought that she would finally have the chance to domesticate the gunslinger.

A bit of trivia for your Thursday evening.
No, not at all. Sorry if my comment made you think that, and thank you for the bit of trivia.
