Adolph Kantola - married Jean Mehlberg in we beieve 1945(I beieve this to be her maiden name but am unsure after not finding any information on her. She had Alvin Kantola, Ralph Kantola. I have information on Jean from after her marriage to Adolph. she was born in 1918 and passed as Jean Martinez in 1998 Grand Junction, Colorado.

Hi Ada,

Do you know where Adolph was born or where he and Jean were married?

Here is an Adolph Kantola born in 1910 living in Minnesota, in the 1930 census https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/X3DJ-RPZ

and the 1920 census https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/MW1N-23R

It looks like the same Adolph died in Minnesota in 1996 according to the Social Security Death Index: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/JL9K-SPP and the Minnesota Death Index: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/V47R-S4X.

If Jean was born in Wisconsin, it wouldn't be much of a stretch for her and Adolph to be married in Minnesota. Your best bet would be to search for them both in the 1940 census to pinpoint a possible place where they were married, and then find a newspaper archive (either online or through microfilm at the area's library) and look for a marriage announcement.
